Setting and Adjusting Goals

Your goals in WeightBuddy define how the app tailors calorie targets, recommendations, and activity tracking for you. When you first create your account, you’ll be prompted to set a weight goal — whether you’re aiming to lose, maintain, or gain weight.

 

You can revisit and modify these goals anytime by navigating to Profile > Settings > Edit Goals. Here, you’ll find options to adjust your weight target, select a new goal type (for example, switching from losing to maintaining weight), and even change your target date for achieving your goal.

 

Additionally, your activity level has a significant impact on your daily calorie estimates. Within the same Edit Goals section, you can update your daily step goal and activity level to better match your current lifestyle. The app uses this information to provide a more accurate reflection of your energy needs and daily progress.
